Jan Zastrow

Jan is a collage/mixed media artist who lives in Washington, D.C. A longtime member of Capitol Hill Arts League, she moved to the Northwest quadrant and joined Ch/Art in 2025. She has participated in dozens of group shows around the DMV, donated work to numerous community arts fundraisers, taught workshops at Washington Printmakers Gallery, and served as curator and gallerist for a dental office/gallery on Capitol Hill.

Currently, Jan attends classes in the studio arts program at the University of the District of Columbia and volunteers as a teaching assistant at the Smithsonian Associates. She comes to DC by way of Honolulu, where she was a tenured professor and digital creative at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
