Sandra Zacharia

Sandra Zacharia studied textile design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, NY. She began working in metal after moving to Israel, where she studied jewelry at the Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem. She is now based in Maryland, where she creates and teaches.

Zacharia is an art jeweler drawn to transformation, to how metal moves, remembers, and becomes. Her work is sculptural, guided by rhythm and the power of hand-forged form. Each piece is shaped in her studio through a process that honors both intuition and craft, bringing raw material into form through gesture, texture, and intention.

Her pieces speak to those who find beauty in presence, subtlety, and the power held in each mark, expression without saying a word.

In addition to her studio practice, Sandra teaches jewelry making to children through her after-school program, Artjewelsz, encouraging creativity, confidence, and discovery from an early age.
