Lorah Ludwig

Lorah Ludwig is a Washington, DC–based literary and mosaic artist whose work explores ethics, feminism, maternal and child health, disability, nature, and enchantment. Working primarily with stained glass and found objects, she creates handcrafted mosaics that transform fragmented materials into luminous compositions rich with narrative and symbolism.

Her practice is informed by a deep interest in care, embodiment, and the stories people and the environment carry. Through both visual art and writing, she investigates the intersections of personal experience and social questions, seeking moments of beauty, wonder, and connection within complexity.

Lorah is an MFA candidate in Creative Writing at American University and holds a graduate degree focused on ethics, peace, and global health. Her interdisciplinary background shapes a body of work that bridges critical inquiry and imaginative expression.
