Kristy Little

Kirsty Little was a professional British Circus aerialist before moving to the US. She now creates sculpture with wood/wire and mixed media informed by her physical circus practice. Her art activism works engage local communities, focusing on raising awareness of plastic pollution and the Women’s Equality crisis through huge installations. Little has permanent public art projects at the Tenley Library in Washington, DC and the SAGA sports center in Prince Georges County, MD. She has exhibited most notably at The Phillips Collection, the Athenaeum, Honfleur Gallery, and the Katzen Museum at American University. Little founded and curated 12 shows in the WOW project (14 former shop windows in Chevy Chase, MD). She was lead artist on the RightNOW project, a women’s equality interactive public art installation funded by Arts and Humanities MD. Little is Artist in Residence at Otis St Studios, a founding member of Ch/Art, and is in the Guinness Book of World Records with the most aerialists on silks. She teaches aerial dance skills.
