Mia Dentoni

Mia Dentoni is a Washington, DC-based visual artist working between abstraction and representation. Her work explores the emotional and physical experience of space and how environments can hold, disrupt, or reflect internal states. She is particularly interested in the tension between stress and ease, belonging and isolation, and the shift between inner and outer worlds.

Working across painting, photography, and mixed media, Dentoni creates layered compositions that balance structure with fluidity. Her surfaces often carry a sense of movement and flux, reflecting the ways space can feel both grounding and unsettled.
