Patricia Dubroof
P. Dubroof is a figurative artist whose practice is rooted in self-care, memory, and human connection. Drawing inspiration from people, music, dance, and nature, she begins each work with a blank “canvas”, allowing the energy of the day to guide what surfaces.
She works across canvas, wood, paper, and even public walls through site-specific and community artworks. She exhibits regularly in group and traveling solo shows, and leads workshops across the country. She also collaborates with homeowners on shed mural commissions, bringing original artwork into communities nationwide.
P. Dubroof developed the "Who Cares?" series to honor family and professional caregivers. A Creativity Grant from the Maryland State Arts Council enabled her to build on her series of 50+ painted portraits and expand it to include podcasts drawn from caregivers' own experiences.
She facilitates Sip, Nosh, and Paint workshops, where people come together to explore art as a healing modality for self-care
