Joan Danoff
After the culmination of a fulfilling career as a Washington, DC restaurant owner, Joan Danoff returned to her first love—creating art. Her medium of choice—jewelry fabrication. She started off her creative journey at Silverworks Studio in Glen Echo Park, MD. After taking all the metalsmithing classes offered, Danoff found that an enameling class unveiled her love of incorporating color into her jewelry designs. Formerly a member of the Enamelists Gallery at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA, Danoff is currently teaching Beginning Enameling at Silverworks Studio in Glen Echo Park. She is a member of Ch/Art, the Washington Guild of Goldsmiths, and the Enamelist Society. Danoff shows and sells her work at local craft shows, and her work can be found at the Rehoboth Art League where she won the Best in Jewelry Award at their annual Craft Fair in 2025. Danoff lives in the Palisades area of Washington, DC, with her songwriter husband, Bill and their dog, Princess Leia.
