Rosa Vera

Rosa Vera grew up in Washington, DC and in Latin America. She is an award-winning artist who paints in acrylics, encaustics, watercolor, mixed media, and oils. She has completed commissions for the City of Hope Hospital, Los Angeles; and for Cedar Hill Hospital in Washington.

Rosa has exhibited in national shows including the National Arts Club, the National Watercolor Society Show, Watercolor USA, Athenaeum, and The Art League of Alexandria. She has had numerous solo shows in the US and in Peru. She is included in the US State Department’s Art in Embassies program.

She has won a number of prizes both locally and throughout the US. She won the Presidents' Prize at the International Society of Experimental Artists' Juried Art Exhibit, First Place in The Artist's Magazine, and the Board of Directors Award at the International Exhibition, Watercolor Art Society-Houston. Her work is in private collections in the US and internationally, as well as the permanent collection of the National Institutes of Health.

She is a member of Touchstone Gallery.
