Pauline Siple

Pauline Siple received Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees from Maryland Institute, College of Art (MICA), Baltimore, MD, and studied painting in Germany, France, and Italy. She currently paints and makes soft sculpture in a studio at Jackson Art Center, Georgetown, Washington, DC. She was a studio artist at the Torpedo Factory Art Center, Alexandria, VA for 17 years. Her painting "Unfurled" was selected to be displayed in the Mission Residence in El Salvador with the Art in Embassies Program (AIE), US Department of State. Elan magazine, Fairfax, VA, featured her in an article, "Universal Truths." She was selected to design a card among 47 other artists from the DC area for a deck of cards sold in the area featuring Washington, DC. She is a member of the Woman's Caucus for Art, DC; Washington Sculpture Group; Ch/Art, and Mohican Hills Art Collective. She has been in juried exhibits in New York, New Delhi, Europe, and in the Washington, DC area. She continues to show each year.
