Edith Stanton

Edie Stanton started making art at the beach house kitchen table where her mom always had a craft in her back pocket. She enjoys upcycling and repurposing. Recreating quilts from her ancestors with old clothes and treasured fabric was launched after discovering a chest of quilts in her family home. Her love of throwing started in high school with Ms. Boyle. She loves wood firing and seeing how the ash forms glaze on her functional pieces. Recently she started recycling Nespresso pods collected from neighbors after being inspired by Sofia Gawer’s work. She loves the balance of a mobile and elegant forms. Stanton is always looking for more time to create.
