Kimoy Chung Lallment
Kimoy Lallement’s passion for art and design was born in her home country of Trinidad & Tobago. She draws inspiration from its vibrant colors, rich multicultural heritage, and the blending of traditions. As a child, she was surrounded by creativity—from elaborate Carnival costumes to her mother’s oil paintings and her father’s ever-present camera. These early influences taught her to observe the details and to find beauty in both the extraordinary and the ordinary.
A graduate of Howard University’s School of Architecture, Lallement practiced architecture in Washington, DC, for more than 25 years, specializing in Food & Beverage and Hospitality design.
In early 2024, a hemorrhagic stroke brought her career to a halt. During her recovery, she rediscovered art as a source of healing, reflection, and creative expression. Today, she works in watercolor, pen and ink, and oil painting, celebrating the beauty found in memory, observation, and everyday moments that connect us to Place.
