Bruce Abrams

Bruce Abrams is a Washington, DC–based figurative artist working in painting and intaglio printmaking. His ongoing series, Rogues’ Gallery, explores the characters and micro-dramas of everyday life—figures caught in conversation, observation, and transition. His acrylic paintings use bold color and layered composition to emphasize gesture and presence, while his intaglio prints, created through etching and engraving on copper plates, distill these scenes into precise lines and tonal contrasts.

Based in Washington, DC, Abrams exhibits regularly in the DC area. Before focusing full-time on his art, he spent over 30 years with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). His work reflects both close observation of everyday life and a broader perspective shaped by years of international experience. More at www.bruceabrams.com.
