Allie Coriale & Leigh Coriale

Leigh Coriale is a contemporary artist living in Chevy Chase, MD. She works collaboratively with her daughter, Allison, combining their unique techniques to create an original style. Her daughter creates abstract backgrounds using acrylics. Leigh then paints over the top using oils to bring the abstraction into reality.

Coriale studied art/business in college and went on to work as an illustrator/designer for The National Academy of Sciences. Upon retirement, she began to paint, presenting her illustrative style developed over her career. She paints in a colorful palette and is influenced by Japanese painting. Having spent summers on Martha's Vineyard, she also paints collections influenced by coastal culture. Coriale and her daughter exhibit in shows, markets, and pop-ups in the DC area as well as the mid-Atlantic beaches and on Martha's Vineyard.
