Upcoming Exhibition Information

Happy End of Summer! 

We will have lots of opportunities to display our art to the public over the coming winter. After Art Walk, there will be an exhibit at Friendship Heights Village Center (FHVC) again, running from November 23 to January 23. Ch/Art will also have the cafe space at Politics & Prose (P&P) during all of December. And we will have an exhibition at River Road Unitarian Universalist Congregation (RRUUC) opening in February 2027. Each exhibit will have a theme, as follows: 

FHVC: Not actually so much a theme, but the title of the show will be "The Best of Ch/Art" - you submit three of your best works and a juror will choose one of them. The FHVC space is large enough to accommodate work from nearly all of our artists. Submissions will be received October 10 to 26. Installation will be on Sunday, November 22, 9am-2pm. The opening reception will be Thursday December 10, 6:30-8pm.

P&P: The theme will be "Season of Hope" - cheerful, optimistic, perhaps directly relating to one of the holidays. Submissions will be received October 24 to November 8. This show will be installed on December 1. The date of a reception is TBD. 

RRUUC: The theme will be "Spirit of the City" - images that depict scenes in and around DC or the vibe of our area, whether representational, impressionistic or abstract. It will be juried. More details to follow.

Of course, there will also be lots of opportunities to volunteer to make these shows successful. More details soon, but we'll need folks for set up and breakdown, opening reception, and artists talks for the FHVC exhibit.
