Jennifer Bertsch

Jennifer Bertsch started making jewelry 16 years ago, teaching herself simple techniques. She worked from a small box of supplies on a tiny side table in her family room after her three young children went to bed. All these years later, Bertsch has expanded her skills and creativity. She makes one-of-kind pieces using mixed metals, semi-precious gemstones, and beads of all types. She often takes apart old pieces of jewelry and remakes them to create unusual designs that join vintage style with contemporary wearability. Her jewelry is very versatile and each piece is unique. She loves the process of scavenging for old jewelry and beautiful, interesting beads and creating new potential for them. She invites people to think outside the box when wearing her designs; Bertsch hopes they wear her jewelry as Art—to appreciate the organic beauty of stones and metals and to discover the fun in quirky, original style.
