Theme: Finding Joy
Juror: J. Jordan Bruns lives and works in the Washington, DC area and has been the resident artist in the Chautauqua Tower at Glen Echo Park, Maryland for ten years. In 2004, he received BFAs in Painting and Illustration at Maryland Institute College of Art. He then went on to earn an MFA in Studio Painting at Indiana University in 2007. He currently manages and teaches at Glen Echo Park in the Chautauqua Tower (a.k.a. The Stone Tower) where his studio also located. His work is in the public collections of Novartis Pharmaceuticals and Kaiser Permanente solo exhibitions include Long View Gallery (Washington, DC) and The Indiana University Art Museum (Bloomington, Indiana). His numerous group shows include “Transient Geometries” at The Antelope Valley College Art Gallery (Lancaster, California) and “Color Schooled” (Long View Gallery, Washington, DC). His work has also been exhibited in Scope Miami in 2014, Context Miami in 2017 & 2018 as well as Aqua Miami in 2019 all during Art Basel Miami. He is represented by Alida Anderson Art Projects (Potomac, MD) and his work can be seen weekends at the Stone Tower at Glen Echo Park.

Submission fee: $35 for up to two entries
FHVC Commission: 20%

Entry Rules:
You must be a current paid Ch/Art Member.
Artists can submit up to 2 pieces.
All art must be inspired by the theme.
Submissions will be jpg's of the art, maximum 2000 pixels on the longest side.
The image should be of the artwork only. Do not include the frame or mat.
Sales: Buyers may use Zelle or Venmo, by agreement with the Artist, or Buyers may write a check to the Artist for the item cost plus 6% sales tax, and leave the check with the front desk. In either case, the Artist then pays 20% commission to FHVC.

** Artwork does not need to be for sale.

FAQs
Q: How many pieces can I submit? How much does it cost?
A: You many submit one or two pieces. The cost for either option is a one-time $35.
Q: What about ceramics? Or jewelry?
A: They have pedestals for 3-D pieces and cases for jewelry.
Q: Is there a commission taken for sales?
A: Yes, FHVC will get a 20% commission from all sales.
