2024 PNC POPUP
Ch/Art is hosting its fifth Ch/Art PNC PopUp Show! An excellent opportunity to show and sell your work at a minimal booth cost.
Date: Sunday, May 5, 2024 (The week before Mother’s Day! There is no rain date)
Hours: 11:00 am - 4:00 pm
Location: PNC Bank, 5530 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20015, parking lot with access from Morrison Street NW.
Application Fee: $25 (Ch/Art events aim to break even. The $25 fee will cover marketing expenses including printing posters, advertising, A-frames, etc.).
Number of Participants: Twenty-seven 10 x 10 spaces are available
Application Deadline: Applications must be submitted by April 5, 2024.
Equipment Needed: Participants will need to supply their own tents, with weights, and their own tables and display equipment. The Event Coordinator, Cara Jablon can help facilitate borrowing or sharing tents. Set-up will start at 8:45 AM, May 5, 2024
Marketing Anticipated: Signage in neighborhood stores and streets, including large A-frames, Facebook, Instagram, local listservs, Ch/Art and individual artist email lists, and cross-marketing with Chevy Chase Mainstreets/District Bridges.

We are exploring incorporating the following into the PNC PopUp this year:
A New Member tent (e.g., new members could bring 1 or 2 works to show with no entry fee)
A kid’s or teen's tent” (do you have any junior artists in your home?)
A Create Arts Center tent. Ch/Art has a relationship with createartscenter.org in Silver Spring, MD
This event will require volunteering from the Ch/Art community to help with the publicity, set-up and take-down of tents, greet customers, and booth sit to enable participants to take a short break. We will request volunteers by SignUp Genius at a later date.
This event is the same weekend as Spring Fling - produced by Chevy Chase Mainstreets (CCMS) with lots of activities and foot traffic along the Connecticut Avenue corridor from the Chevy Chase Circle and south.
